The Biggest Hurdle to Healing

and the seven gateways of awareness

~I believe every soul on this planet came here to Gaia’s garden, the bosom of the Great Mother, to heal, to learn and contribute to the (r)evolution of Universal God consciousness.

I also believe that within every wound lives a profound wisdom and the healing for that wound. Nothing is chronic.

I am one of those millions of people- 80% women- who have been faced with navigating an ignorant medical system when it comes to the healing and health of our bodies in general, and particularly the world of mystery disease eg, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, Lyme disease, long covid (which isn’t a mystery per-se) and many other “autoimmune” disorders. Much of my writing in the past years has touched on this in various ways.

If you are navigating any of these, my heart goes out to you for braving the insanity and getting up despite the fear of another disappointing day with no visible solution.

In navigating my own journey with this, and when I was supporting others through the physically and emotionally debilitating symptoms of so called idiopathic disease, I discovered that the reason there were no readily known cures was due to 7 main gateways of awareness (or lack of):

One- this complex affects mostly women, and women are still gaslit right out of doctor’s offices every single day with a little pill in their hand- which the majority of the time makes symptoms worse.

Two- to honestly identify the root cause of these diseases, and bring them to mainstream medicine, would expose the egregious manipulation of our bodies in the name of profit.

Three- main stream medicine isn’t holistic in its approach and rarely includes, or even acknowledges, the mind-body connection and up to date research on the brain, emotional body and nervous system and our innate ability to heal from the inside out.

Four- most try to fix the symptoms rather than listen to, witness and feel them before assessing if their is an external remedy.

Five- physical illness of this caliber typically has a root in spiritual illness. Most people only seek spirituality to fix something when nothing else has worked- which is the blessing of the illness as it opens the gateway back up to God. However, they rarely shift from using spirituality as a supplement to fix something into the awakening of a devotional life for Love’s sake - which is where the healing happens because it is where acceptance happens.

Six- our attachments make us sick.

Seven- death (change) must be confronted and accepted as a healing. This is directly connected to the main hurdle (below).

People, especially women, being sick-especially idiopathically sick because it sets someone on a very expensive seeking and massive consuming of anything that might help, therefore creating a major distraction from finding the actual cure and a lot more stress- makes the big money makers a LOT of money. Illness fuels our economy.

The shadow of this in the “alternative” world of supplements and protocols and re-sets and cleanses and all the other yadas out there- is that subconsciously most, not all, of these companies also thrive on people being in endless loops of suffering, which of course someone has a remedy, wrapped in a little plastic bottle, for- that is 30% off your first subscription order. Most of which the body struggles to process, potentially leading to more imbalance and inflammation.

I take things. But, I take very little compared to the pharmacy that used to be half of my kitchen at home and a quarter of my luggage when I traveled, which was a powerful process of letting go of belief systems that kept me trapped in that loop. I have had my biggest leaps in healing when I have let go of shoving my body full of pills- my period returned after 15 years of hypothalamic amenorrhea in my late 30s when a doctor told me to stop everything I was trying; it also turns out I poop well on my own without taking so many things to heal my digestion.

I am grateful for the small integrous companies who are creating health products that support our bodies in ways that support all bodies on this planet and beyond. I love my herbalists and mineral shamans and triple sun blasted prayed over super water geeks, and especially if it all comes without plastic and I can throw it in my compost.

(Oof- hypocrisy alert- I do order a few things in plastic bottles from Amazon. Oh the monopoly!- a game I loved when I was a child but I never seemed to pass “go”, and I see how that has followed me around and why (whoa)).

I am also grateful that my mother, and then my best friend (yes I still have best friends) both took antibiotics for pneumonia, and another close friend was able to receive a life saving heart procedure a few weeks back. There is a small, necessary place for this type of medicine. And when used properly, I call it medicine.

MEDICINE

Medicine and man go hand in hand, which means so do man and the sacred wound. Hunger, real hunger, unobstructed, gut grumbling hunger, is what drives the beast to seek the exact satiation it needs, and sometimes poison itself a little to learn the laws and signatures of the vast natural wonders at our fingertips. The natural pang of pain and the instincts it begets are necessary for a sustainable human life on Mama Earth.

Illness was/is a gateway to Universal belonging and an ingredient in maintaining sacred reciprocity with all of creation because the human would inevitably face how much she relies upon the Earth and Heavens to support her well being. This would inspire her to live in ways that sustained what sustained her.

This mysterious intuitive drive is necessary for our survival, without it we lose why we came here. Then the connection to Earth and Heaven were cut out of the healing model, women were burned alive and indigenous healing practices were labeled snake oil by a modern science who mistook itself as the Godhead of healing rather than the brilliant accessory to expanded consciousness I believe science can serve.

Our innate instincts toward healing were oppressed. The mention of body wisdom or having a healing experience that wasn’t verified by some man in a white coat, and you were sent to the loony bin where you might just die and they would say it was your fault. This happened more than we care to look at. In many ways it still does. Women have adopted this mindset and afflict this oppressive wounding upon themselves daily rather than listen to and express what their bodies are saying.

If women fully followed the innate instincts in their bodies- and purged themselves of the fears we have been subjugated to for too long, all bodies would reorganize back to a reciprocal rhythm with and trust in Life to serve our needs. Because the Womb dictates the course of life.

I do not highlight the above corruptions to blame, start a fight, or harbor anger and bitterness about it all or I bleed out personal power. It is for context to understand why the major hurdle to healing seems miles high and to see the shadow at the root so we can begin to deal with what is rising in the present with more awareness.

The Main Hurdle to Healing

There are forces within you, that are also deeply embedded in the collective and the people who love you, that do not want you to heal. Your change and your healing is a threat to the status quo that has stabilized a war torn society within the collective.

We can call them fragmented soul parts, protectors, saboteurs, shadows, negative energies or past traumas complexes. We can also call them pure “evil” entities whose absolute function is to spread and feed on fear like a virus. It is simply the is-ness of this entity. Don’t give it too much weight; it’s a part of the process. Accept it and move on. If you must do something about this, in a way that serves, you will know.

Until one recognizes this within themselves and the collective AND begins to either integrate them or cultivate good boundaries for themselves around these energies, healing cannot happen in the way I believe we are seeking.

As one begins to unravel this, hopefully with support, I strongly advise not speaking about the process outside of therapeutic containers, or if you have a best friend like I do ;)- until your foundation of self love is such that their subconscious reactions won’t wobble you into setbacks.

Even though your mother or your children want to see you well, a part of them does not- for your wellness will shake up the family shadow in everyone else. Even though your partner wants you well, they want you to be how you were, so a part of them does not. And who you were got gobbled up in the tremor that shook your life to pieces.

THE BIGGEST HURDLE IS THE FEAR OF CHANGE.

Your self love on steroids is paramount here. As well as your understanding that true love, unconditional love, love for those you love and love for the Earth, is choosing yourself and your path with God above everyone and everything self.

Illnesses of the caliber we are seeing, the unanswerable mystery diseases, are about our path with Creation- and why we call it the Sacred Wound.

Within that knowing attachments collapse, and we begin to see an unraveling of all the Life exploiting systems that have kept us from Love.

And a new consciousness can be born. Healing prevails.
