I now see how the Stillness moves the sun, the wind and my breath
The Silence has always whispered the unfurling of my next step
My life is one- and many things
To live fully is to let the fires burn my tender skin while leaving no scars
To die fully is to surrender to the bottom of the sea while breathing peacefully
Here I slip through that long sought after crack of light, invisible to the seeking eye
Once on the other side I am back where I began-
Riding the endless waves of imagination.
~ I can’t believe I am still standing, and it’s time now for folding Not as a posture of retreat But of a hard won regeneration There is mending to do under the slivered light of Winter’s eye -
Mother, will they accept my new wings when they have only seen me crawl?
To carve a new path you must walk at the water’s edge willing to drown in the deep at any moment Willing to have everything that once was, just a moment ago, washed away so that nothing remains of a way back She eats it She washes your feet that new Earth be unburdened by misplaced desire Your courtship with continual dissolution fills your gaping mouth with Her swelling tongue ravenous for the Grace that has guided you down the narrow path Now you taste the luminous shine of your birth and the decay of what you have taken for granted You appear to be mad daring the ledge like that So innocent as if you know not of danger But ah! True insanity is to go digging for your old footsteps in the sand
I hope this finds you wrapped in the wonder of your own unfolding.

"There is mending to do under the slivered light of Winter’s eye..."
Yes, indeed. Rest, rest, rest. Warm under the snowy blankets.
